My journey so far

2023

In early 2023, I continued working with King’s Angel Alumni Network (KAAN), where I sourced startups, built relationships with investors and sponsors, and supported founders navigating venture capital networks. My work opened opportunities for early-stage founders to secure critical connections and resources. Later that year, I joined the founding team of the London Venture Capital Network (LVCN), which was created to make venture capital in London more accessible and inclusive. LVCN was designed to connect emerging talent with industry leaders while tackling underserved sectors and overlooked trends often ignored by traditional VC networks.

I played a key role in shaping the network’s strategy, branding, and focus areas, ensuring it addressed real gaps in the ecosystem. One of the year’s highlights was the launch of the London Venture Capital Fellowship, a 12-week program for aspiring investors and operators. I selected the cohort, developed weekly topics, sourced guest speakers, and mentored fellows throughout the program. By the end of the year, 80% of the fellowship’s 54+ alumni had secured roles or internships at leading tech and investment firms, solidifying it as a trusted talent pipeline. I also organised 12+ events attended by over 300 participants, focusing on challenges faced by underrepresented founders and emerging talent. These events provided access to industry leaders and created opportunities for individuals often excluded from traditional networks.

Through my work with KAAN and LVCN, I focused on creating opportunities for emerging talent, addressing structural barriers in venture capital, and connecting people with the resources they need to thrive. These experiences have positioned me to contribute meaningfully to the UK’s tech and VC landscape by supporting innovation and developing the next generation of talent.
